Saturday Night

Last saturday night, my mom and I had a little girl's night fun. We bought a eyeshadow compact and eyeliner and played around. I know some of the pictures are all yellowy and not very color accurate, but I couldn't fix that.

p.s. the makeup i'm wearing is maybelline sapphire smokies for the eyeshadow, and the eyeliner was maybelline line express charcoal grey and ya, my mom forgot mascara.

Color blocking

In order to answer Ashley's question, I'm going to tell you about colorblocking. It's a trend in which you find a color in the color wheel, then look in that spot on the other side. Does that make sense?
I'll show you with a picture.
So here's some examples of colorblocking.
I got this off google images, but it said the site for it was here
There's only one problem. I know I could not pull of any one of those crazy outfits. They look cool, but for those of us who are not quite so daring, here's what I put together. I know there is still hair at the top and it's not very well done, but It's my first time so go easy on me.
I got the top here, and the pants here.

Snippings

I found a nifty little thing on my windows 7 called a snip tool. I snipped my computer life today. There's also a couple photos.

I do a literature co-op. I'm the only girl. No other explanation needed.
A random snip from iTunes that I liked
I'm distracted very easily.

What would you daily life snippings look like?

Something different

I downloaded a trial of a photoshop editor or something and now look what I've done. I wasn't actually trying to do that, but it looked cool so I kept it.

Beach Room Decor

Well, now for the WAY overdue beach decor post . As far as my room decoration goes, I still have a long way to go. I have lots of ideas and plans, but I'm not very good at putting them into action. I share a room with my younger sister who detests anything beach, vintage, or surf inspired, so I have to go moderate on decorating. Right now I have three things done. I have a bed cover, inspiration board, and my beach signs.  I also want to make a patchwork quilt and hang more artwork. For my beach signs, I followed this tutorial. The only differences is I was to lazy to measure my boards and buy the paint they suggested. I still like them.

This is what I started with

I <3 power tools!

these little things make hanging signs so easy! Just hot glue them on the back.
